Sabudana Vada


Sabudana vada, also called 'sabu vada', is a traditional deep- fried snack from Maharashtra, India. It is often served with spicy green chutney and along with chai and is best eaten fresh. It is also popular during fasts.

Serves: 500gms

 

INGREDIENTS

· Sabudana 500gms

· Potato 200gms

· Peanut 100gms

· Salt to taste

· Oil 500ml

· Green chilli 10gms

METHOD

1. Soak sabudana in water of same depth for minimum six hours.

2. Boil and mash potatoes, keep aside.

3. Take the potatoes and add it to the soaked sabudana.

4. Add green chilli chopped and crushed peanuts. Mix well.

5. Take the mixture and portion it equally into small patties.

6. Deep fry in medium hot oil. Fry till the texture becomes crispy and the colour changes to golden brown.
