Mutter aur Peethiwali Aloo ki Tikki


This aloo ki tikki is a small croquette stuffed with peas and moong dal. The tikki can be eaten as a light snack or put in between buns to make a vegetarian burger.

Serves: 10 portions

 

INGREDIENTS

· Potatoes 1.4kgs

· Chopped ginger 15gms

· Salt 30gms

· Chopped green chilies 30gms

· Red chili powder 20gms

· Garam masala 30gms

· Cumin powder 30gms

· Black salt 20gms

· Moong dal 120gms

· Green peas 80gms

· Fresh coriander 60gms

· Ghee 100ml

· Hing 20gms

METHOD

1. For the stuffing, heat oil in a pan. Add soaked & par boiled moong dal & green peas.

2. Add chopped ginger, green chillies, red chilli, salt, asafoetida & keep it aside.

3. Grate boiled potatoes then add rest of the ingredients to form a mixture.

4. Mash the potatoes and make balls from it. Then, add the stuffing to the balls.

5. Shallow fry the patties in ghee till they form a brown crust on the outside
