Green Chilli Thecha


Green chilli thecha is a spicy Maharashtrian condiment that is usually prepared with chilli, garlic and nuts. It is commonly accompanied with thalipeeth and adds an element of excitement to our everyday meals.

Serves: 500gms

 

INGREDIENTS

· Green chilli – 200 gms

· Peanuts – 60 gms

· Oil- 30 ml

· Chopped garlic – 60 gms

· Chopped corriander- 150 gms

· Sea salt – 30 gms

METHOD

1. Dry roast the peanuts and keep aside

2. In the same pan add oil and cook the green chillies on very low flame

3. Add the garlic and continue to cook further

4. Cool this mixture.

5. In a blender, blend all the ingredients now to make a course paste.

6. Traditionally , this was done in a stone pestle

7. If stored in an airtight container, it may be used for few days.
