Croque Monsieur


A croque monsieur is a ham and cheese sandwich originating from France in 1910.

Serves: 4 portions

 

INGREDIENTS

· Brioche Bread 8pcs

· Ham 200gms

· Cheese 8pcs

· Salt 5gms

· Pepper 5gms

· Eggs 4pcs

· Milk 100ml

METHOD

1. Prepare bechamel sauce and keep aside.

2. Take a slice of bread, smear some bechamel sauce on it.

3. Add a slice of ham and cheese.

4. Sprinkle salt and pepper.

5. Cover with another bread.

6. Place the ham and cheese between the two slices of bread and dip in a bowl of whisked eggs. Cook both sides on a heated pan.

7. Serve with salad leaves, mustard and tomato ketchup.
