Coriander Chutney


Green chutney is a delectable condiment made with mint, coriander, garlic, ginger and cumin. It is a wonderful accompaniment of many dishes and you can also smear them on rolls and sandwiches.

Portion: 250gms

 

INGREDIENTS

· Mint 50gms

· Coriander 200gms

· Green chilli 5gms

· Ginger 5gms

· Garlic 5gms

· Salt 5gms

· Cumin powder 5gms

· Chaat masala 20gms

· Sugar 20gms

· Anardana 20gms

· Lemon juice 10ml

· Water (as per desired texture)

METHOD

1.Wash the ingredients thoroughly under running water

2. Add mint leaves in a blender.

3. Add coriander leaves, garlic cloves and ginger in it.

4. Add green chillies and blend with the gradual addition of water

5. Once it is churned, add salt, cumin powder, and water.

6. Add lemon juice.

7. Blend until a smooth paste is obtained.

8. Season the chutney with chaat masala, sugar and anardana and keep it chilled.

CHEF’S TIPS

1. While blending, you can add peanuts to get a thick consistency.

2. If desired, you may not add garlic.

3. You can add hung curd to the paste.
