Paneer Lababdar


Paneer lababdar is an authentic Punjabi curry that can be found in any North Indian restaurant menu all over the world. Soft and succulent cottage cheese cubes are dipped in a creamy tomato and cashew gravy, usually served alongside naan or rice.

Serves: 10 portions

 

INGREDIENTS

· Paneer 1.4kgs

· Maida 140gms

· Makhni gravy 400gms

· Onion tomato masala 200gms

· Red chili powder 100gms

· Butter 40gms

· Chopped coriander 60gms

· Kasoori methi 10gms

· Cream 100gms

· Salt 30gms

METHOD

1. Grate the paneer and add maida to it.

2. Make roundels of this mix and blanch it in hot water. Set aside.

3. Heat butter in a pan. Add onion tomato masala, all the dry spices and makhni gravy and stir.

4. Add the paneer roundels, chopped coriander and cream and let it cook.

5. Garnish with ginger juliennes, chopped coriander and cream.
