Mutton Kolhapuri


This authentic meat curry from Kohlapur is sumptuous, fiery and delicious. The meat is tender and succulent.

Serves: 4 portions

 

INGREDIENTS · Lamb curry cut 1kg · Oil 80ml · Onion chopped 200gms · Kolhapuri masala 120gms · Turmeric pwd 15gms · Tomato 200gms · Salt To taste · Red chili pwd 20gms · Water As required · Ginger garlic paste 40gms · Coriander For Garnish · Cloves 4pcs · Cinnamom stick 1pcs · Green cardamom 2pcs · Bay leaf 2pcs

METHOD

1. Marinate mutton with ginger,garlic paste,turmeric and salt at least for an hour.

2. Heat the oil in a copper handi add whole spices.

3. Marinate mutton with ginger,garlic paste,turmeric,salt and lemon,at least for an hour.

4. Add marinated mutton.

5. Add kolhapuri masala. Mix it well. Cook on low medium heat.

6. Add required amount of water and cook until mutton is cooked properly.

7. Garnish the meat with the Coriander.

10. Serve warm
