Chakundar ki Tikki is a combination of cooked beetroot and spices, that can be eaten plain or put inside wraps and rolls. It is a vegan recipe and very healthy too!
Serves: 4 portions
INGREDIENTS
· Boiled beetroot 700gm
· Ghee 20ml
· Red chili powder 20gms
· Garam masala powder 5gms
· Black salt 10gms
· Chaat masala 10gms
· Fennel seeds powder 5gms
· Roasted chana powder 50gms
· Cashew powder 50gms
· Salt to Taste
METHOD
1. In a bowl, grate boiled chakundar and roasted chana powder, cashew powder and mix them well. Add Red Chili, and all the spices. Mix well.
2. Make round Tikkis out of the mixture and align them on a plate.
3. Heat oil in a tawa and place these tikkis in the pan and shallow fry them in batches until crispy and cooked from both sides.
4. Serve them with Mint Chutney.
