Bread Pudding


A popular bread-based dessert made with one day old bread and milk. Serves: 4 portions

 

INGREDIENTS

  • Bread- White 750gms

  • Raisins 75gms

  • Cinnamon powder 5gms

  • Milk- whole 400ml

  • Egg 4no

  • Sugar 10gms

  • Butter 150gms

METHOD

1. Cut the edges of the bread

2. Apply butter to the bread slices and cut into cubes.

3. Place the slices of bread along with raisins in a baking dish

4. Boil milk with sugar and keep aside.

5. Beat eggs and add milk to eggs ensure milk is not very hot.

6. Add cinnamon to this mixture

7. Pour this mixture over the bread and allow resting for 15 min.

8. Bake at 175 C for 45 min over a double boiler.

9. Cover the baking dish with an aluminum foil.

10. Serve warm
