Bhetki Macher Paturi Recipe is Bengali Style Barramundi Fish cooked by wrapping in banana leaf. The fish is cooked either by steaming or grilling on pan and enjoyed with plain rice.
Serves: 5 portions
INGREDIENTS
· Bhetki fillet (fish) 1kg
· Kasundi mustard 150gms
· Coconut milk 75ml
· Slit green chillies 30gms
· Ginger garlic paste 50gms
· Cumin powder 10gms
· Turmeric powder 2gms
· Green chilli paste 20gms
· Mustard oil 75ml
· Lemon juice 15ml
· Banana Leaf
METHOD
1. Make a marinade of all the above ingredients except fish and slit green chillies.
2. Coat the fish pieces with the marinade and cover them in a banana leaf and keep them for fifteen minutes.
3. Then steam the fish pieces for 20 minutes or till they are cooked. Serve with chillies on top.
