Aloo Posto


Potatoes in a spiced poppy seed paste

Serves: 4 portions

 

INGREDIENTS

· Potatoes quartered 800gms

· Poppy seeds 30gms

· Turmeric powder 5gms

· Salt 10gms

· Cumin powder 20gms

· Mustard oil 100ml

· Cumin seeds 5gms

· Coriander powder 10gms

· Dry Red chillies 2gms

METHOD

1. Heat mustard oil, and add cumin seeds and dry red chillies to it.

2. Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and stir for a few seconds.

3. Now add potatoes and stir fry.

4. Add poppy seeds and salt.

5. Serve hot with rice or luchi.
