Aloo Jeera

Aloo Jeera is a typical vegetarian Indian dish with potatoes and cumin seeds, which is served as a side dish along with puris, chapatti or roti.

Serves: 4 portions

 

INGREDIENTS

· Ghee 80ml

· Cumin seeds 10gms

· Boiled potatoes 800gms

· Salt 8gms

· Red chili powder 8gms

· Coriander powder 15gms

· Turmeric powder 8gms

· Cumin powder 15gms

· Chaat masala 12gms

· Coriander 15gms

METHOD

1. Heat ghee in a pan adds cumin seed sauté until it splutters.

2. Add boiled potatoes and all the other powder masala and cook.

3. Check the seasoning and finish with chopped green coriander.

4. Serve hot.


CHEF’S TIP: Aloo Jeera can also be cooked with raw potatoes on dum.
