Aloo Gobi


Aloo Gobi is a popular vegetarian dish with potatoes and cauliflower as the main ingredients. It is present in Indian and Pakistani cuisines and is served with Indian flatbreads.

Serves: 4 portions

 

INGREDIENTS

· Ghee 80ml

· Cumin seeds 10gms

· Chopped onions 200gms

· Chopped tomatoes 400gms

· Salt 15gms

· Boiled cauliflower 400gms

· Boiled potatoes 400gms

· Red chili powder 15gms

· Coriander powder 15gms

· Turmeric powder 8gms

· Cumin powder 15gms

· Chaat masala 10gms

· Green coriander 15gms

METHOD

1. Heat ghee in a pan adds cumin seed sauté till it splutters.

2. Add chopped onion, sauté till it becomes golden brown add all the powder masalas and cook it until the masala is cooked.

3. Add chopped tomatoes once the masala is cooked and keep aside.

4. In another pan, add oil and cumin seeds and then add potato and cauliflower.

5. Add salt and turmeric and allow it to cook on dum.

6. Once cooked till 60 %, add the onion tomato masala and allow it to simmer.

7. Check the seasoning and top with chopped green coriander and chaat masala

8. Serve hot.
