Paneer tikka is an Indian dish made from chunks of paneer marinated in spices and grilled in a tandoor. It is a vegetarian alternative to chicken tikka.
INGREDIENTS
· Malai paneer 1.5kg
· Salt 30gms
· Hung yogurt 200gms
· Kashmiri chili paste 40gms
· Mustard oil 60ml
· Cream 30gms
· Tomato dices 100gms
· Elaichi powder 30gms
· Onion dices 100gms
· Garam masala 30gms
· Capsicum dices 100gms
· Red chili powder 30gms
· Lemon juice 60ml
· Ghee 100ml
· Kasuri methi 15gms
METHOD
1. Cut the paneer and vegetables into dices
First Marination:
2. Marinate paneer and vegetables with salt and ginger garlic paste
Second Marination:
3. Take hung yoghurt add Kashmiri chili paste, mustard oil, Javitri elaichi powder, garam masala, red chili powder, cream and kasuri methi mix it well
4. Add paneer and vegetables to the mix and let it marinate for 1hr
Cooking:
5. Place paneer and vegetable on skewers
6. Put the skewers on a moderately hot tandoor for 10 minutes
7. Remove the paneer and vegetables from skewers and add to a bowl
8. Garnish with ghee and lemon juice
9. Serve with mint chutney and masala onions
