Chicken Tikka


Chicken tikka is chicken that is marinated in spiced yogurt mixture & then cooked on a tandoor. This dish is widely popular in the Indian subcontinent.

Serves: 10 portions

 

INGREDIENTS

· Chicken tikka 1.8kg

· Hung curd 500gms

· Ginger garlic paste 50gms

· Lemon juice 50ml

· Garam masala 20gms

· Mustard oil 80ml

· Cumin powder 20gms

· Red chili powder 150gms

· Salt To taste

· Coriander powder 10gms

· Kasoori methi powder 20gms

· Chaat masala 50gms

· Butter 100gms

· Fresh chopped coriander 30gms

METHOD

1. Take chicken Add ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, red chilli powder, salt, mustard oil and malt vinegar.

2. Mix them well and keep aside for 4 hours.

3. In a separate bowl, add the hung curds, salt, garam masala, cumin powder, lemon juice, red chilli powder, Kasoori methi. Mix well together.

4. Add the chicken and mix well. Keep aside for 4 hours in the marinade.

5. Pierce chicken in the skewers and repeat to fill the skewer.

6. Chicken Place in tandoor and cook.

7. Add butter, fresh coriander and chaat masala to the cooked chicken.

8. Serve hot with onion salad and coriander chutney.
